What is the normal booking process?
Most people contact us initially with some idea of the dates they are looking at, the length of stay and the quality of accommodation they prefer.
While we are very happy to produce completely custom itineraries, most people tend to use one of the existing ititeraries from the Itinerary section as a base (e.g "Savaii Explorer starting on a a particular Saturday and home for Monday forntight, with some fishing options").
We supply a quote once we have enough information, but sometimes there are more questions as we ensure we are arranging a trip to meet your ideas.
When you are ready to accept the quote we recommend you book your flights, arrange travel insurance and confirm the quote in that order.
Confirmation to us begins with a request for an invoice and is complete when the deposit is paid. The normal deposit invoice is $400pp (escorted trips may have a larger deposit requirement).
The Balance of the trip must be paid 6 weeks before travel commences (or where bookings are made less than 7 weeks before travel, within a week of booking).
On payment in full we will send you vouchers for the accommodation.
What is the cancellation policy for package trips?
Cancellation within 6 weeks of trip start - no refund.
Cancellation with more than 6 weeks notice - a booking fee of $400 pp will be retained.

How do we pay?
We invoice you in New Zealand Dollars.
Most people pay by internet banking or cheque.
Payment by credit card is available for a 3% surcharge. Please advise us at time of booking and we will send you an invoice with a link to pay by Visa (Just follow the Paypal links - you do not need a Paypal account).
How does our gear get transfered?
We use the same van and driver for all transfers on Savaii. This ensures the driver will get to know you and your luggage and be familiar with your timetable. He will have a copy of your itinerary but there are a couple of times (marked on your itinerary) where you will need to let him know what time you will travel.
If you have booked for gear transfer only the van is NOT a support vehicle. The price does not include rides for you or accompanying friends, however, the service can be extended by arrangement to be a full support vehicle, including catering for people who want to ride only part of the way or who do not want to ride at all. Just ask us.
What are the bike hire conditions?
If bike hire is included in the Easy Loader package it is subject to standard bike hire rules - see Bike hire FAQS. Note the main points are that you will be asked for a deposit against their safe return and that you are responsible for bike maintenance while touring. The van driver is not a mechanic and there are no bike service facilities on Savaii. If there is no-one in your group confident with standard bike servicing (punctures, minor adjustments etc - then consider joining an escorted tour). The scheduled departure trips and escorted trips include a spare bike.
